General Practitioner – Practice Plus Group
Join our Primary Care team at HMP Dovegate, a category B remand prison located in Staffordshire. We are looking for a dedicated General Practitioner to provide high quality health care to our diverse patient population, including those with long term conditions and complex health needs.
About the Role
You will work on reception, support with urgent same‑day medication, duty doctor referrals, leavers medication and substance misuse withdrawal programmes. You will collaborate closely with the nursing team and non‑medical prescribers to deliver effective healthcare services.
Hours
Tuesday 8am–8pm, Thursday 8am–8pm, Alternate Saturdays 1300–1700.
Salary
Part‑time; annual salary of £119,140–£125,693 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Qualifications Required
* MBChB or MBBS.
* Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List.
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal.
* Experience working as a GP in community general practice.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse.
* RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or willingness to undertake these qualifications.
