Job Title: Senior Commercial Leader – ERP Transformation
Contract: Up to 6 months
Rate: Up to £1200 per day (Inside IR35)
The Opportunity
My client, a retail giant, is embarking on a multi-year programme to deliver a next-generation ERP platform and digital capabilities, aiming to redefine customer service, operations, and market competitiveness.
They seek a Senior Commercial Leader to shape and deliver the commercial strategy for this transformation. Reporting to the Head of UK Procurement, you will lead commercial governance and contract execution across a complex, multi-supplier ecosystem, ensuring value, risk mitigation, and business benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the commercial approach for one of the UK’s largest retail ERP transformations.
* Lead negotiations with SAP, Accenture (preferred SI partner), and other cloud providers.
* Implement innovative commercial models, incentives, and cost optimisation for long-term agility.
* Advise the C-suite and Programme Board on commercial strategy, risks, and opportunities.
* Have senior experience in commercial/procurement roles on major ERP or digital transformations (£50m+).
* Possess strong expertise in ERP commercial models (preferably SAP) and multi-vendor delivery.
* Demonstrate a track record in high-value contract negotiations, supplier management, and risk control.
* Exhibit exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and governance skills.
* Have a background in retail or consumer-facing sectors with complex supply chains and omnichannel operations.
