We are seeking an experienced and motivated Midwife to join our Practice Development Team (PDT) at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as our fetal monitoring midwife.
1. The post-holder, alongside the obstetric lead for fetal wellbeing, will develop and implement education programs, competency assessments, and foster a culture of ongoing risk assessment and support related to fetal wellbeing assessment and clinical management during pregnancy, labour, and birth.
2. Promote and develop excellence in midwifery practice, enhancing client care by leading and developing staff support, education, training, and development within the service.
3. Provide occasional support to the maternity practice development team for delivering training days to multidisciplinary team members, including healthcare assistants, nursery nurses, nurses, midwives, ODPs, theatre staff, obstetricians, and anesthetists.
4. Offer leadership, expert advice, and continuous support to Midwives within Maternity Services, supporting the implementation of national policies and guidance related to fetal monitoring, including the Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle version 3.
5. Contribute to achieving healthy birth outcomes and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
