Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a high-tech manufacturer based in Oxfordshire to recruit a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will receive a salary between £60,000-£80,000 dependent on experience plus attractive benefits including health insurance and generous annual leave.
Primary responsibilities;
1. Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and maintenance of asset registers.
2. Delivering accurate, timely and high-quality financial information and commentaries to the Board, Exec and Management teams.
3. Reviewing and when appropriate, improving the financial models that the company uses for forecasting.
4. Overseeing end-to-end financial operations, financial planning and analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Continuous improvements to financial procedures and controls
6. As Company Secretary producing accurate minutes of shareholder and formal director meetings and resolutions.
7. Ensuring that the company has in place at all times appropriate insurances.
8. Working closely with the Board, Exec and Management teams to help deliver the best financial performance of the company.
9. Monitoring project costs and producing regular updates for the Exec and Management teams.
10. Managing debtors and creditors.
11. Manage relationships with bank, auditors and HMRC
12. Delivering a draft Budget for approval by the Exec team at least 1 month before the first board meeting of the year
13. Delivering a mid-year financial forecast and review to the Exec team.
Key experience and attributes;
14. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with minimum 10 years' experience in a finance management or controller role.
15. Experience of producing management, formal accounts and financial models for a diverse and complex medium sized enterprise.
16. Experience with financial software and MRP systems
17. Ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
18. Experience running annual audit.
19. Experience of delivering excellence in a high-paced environment.
20. Excellent leadership and man-management skills to successfully lead, motivate, retain and develop our talented team.
