Collins Aerospace is looking for an Equipment Engineer. You will be joining the equipment engineering team, a proactive and close-knit group that provides frontline support across our Plymouth site, ensuring equipment is maintained and calibrated while providing breakdown support. This includes a variety of technology, manual and automated equipment, off-the-shelf and custom-built electro-mechanical equipment, environmental chambers, and safety systems.
What you will do
1. Work to planned schedules to minimize downtime for calibration, maintenance, and upgrades of equipment within operations.
2. Diagnose and rectify faults using methodical problem-solving techniques.
3. Comply with company procedures and documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.
4. Provide auditable documentation and reports to support calibration, maintenance, and safety tasks.
5. Volunteer for shift work and on-call support when required, with a premium paid for this work.
6. Work solely onsite in Plymouth.

What you will learn

Education and Experience
1. Experience with equipment/instrumentation.
2. Electrical/Electronic principles.
3. Experience in a time-sensitive, safety-critical, technical environment.
4. Organizational skills, self-motivation, and teamwork.
5. Effective communication and workload prioritization.
6. Education to HNC/D or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
7. Flexibility and commitment to meet equipment uptime and support needs.
