Mower is a fiercely independent, 100% employee-owned, full-service advertising, marketing, and public relations agency with team members located in over 15 states across the United States. We’re seeking a talented and driven top-of-funnel builder to join our Business Development team as a Business Development Manager. Responsibilities
* Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify key prospects and execute proactive 1:1 engagement by email, phone, and social with the goal of driving new first meetings. Responsibilities include targeting, prospect analysis, message development, proactive outreach.
* Manage ongoing playbook, building effective relationships with developed leads on a continuous basis.
* Participate in networking events, including trade event staffing and pre and post-show prospect management.
* Manage and optimize 3rd party tools and data to drive lead quality and volume of opportunities.
* Build and maintain a clean addressable database, execute and log activities through SFA tools within the CRM.
* Constantly monitor and optimize tools, tactics, and processes to advance the effectiveness of Mower’s funnel-building program. Proactively communicate and collaborate with specialty teams and senior leadership to drive growth.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a passionate and charismatic professional with demonstrated marketing and sales ability. He/she will have excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills and be driven by success. Must be a self-starter, quick thinker and have great follow-through. Reporting to the Vice President – Growth Strategy, the position will have visibility and access to senior managers and leadership throughout the agency to collaborate and drive growth.
Requirements
* Marketing/advertising/public relations agency experience required
* 5-7 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales or an industry/position that required building external relationships
* 5+ years’ experience utilizing CRM/SFA platforms required, comfortable working with activity metrics
* Experience with 3rd party prospecting and list-building platforms
* Up to 20% domestic travel required
Salary Range: $58,500 – $96,000 annually
*Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience.
This is a salaried position with an additional commission structure tied to new business development.
