Experienced Design Engineers, Development Engineers, CAD Engineers, and Product Engineers are likely to be interested in working for this highly successful British manufacturer and exporter operating within the automotive sector. The company is located in Daventry.
The Role:
As a Design Engineer you will:
* Develop and manage product designs from initial concept through to final production.
* Produce detailed CAD models and technical drawings.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior management, manufacturing, sales and marketing to ensure successful product delivery.
* Provide support for prototype builds, including hands-on workshop tasks and testing.
* Participate in design reviews and product testing.
* Support post-production with ongoing design improvements and troubleshooting.
* Ensure all designs meet performance, regulatory, safety, and cost requirements.

The Candidate:
Key Skills/Experience Required:
Suitable candidates for this position will:
* Be experienced in design engineering.
* Possess strong proficiency in 3D CAD software.
* Be capable of balancing aesthetics and engineering functionality.
* Will have practical workshop skills and hands-on prototyping experience.
* Consider themselves an excellent communicator and organiser.
* Ideally possess a degree in a design-related discipline such as Engineering design, Product Design, Industrial Design or Automotive Engineering.
