Full Time:Part-time or full-time considered
Salary:£30,000 £37,500 (full-time equivalent, depending on experience)

Our client is a busy, friendly, and well-regarded firm of accountants with a strong local reputation. They support a wide range of clients, primarily local small businesses and personal tax clients, and are looking to welcome an experienced Accounts Supervisor to our team of 14.
This is a flexible opportunity, suitable for someone looking for part-time hours (34 days per week), with the potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.

Requirements
Essential
* Ideally 56 years experience within a private accountancy practice
* Confident working independently and managing a client portfolio
* Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Desirable
* Some highly experienced candidates may be looking to step into a slightly less demanding role
The Role
* You will manage your own portfolio of clients with a high degree of autonomy, while reporting to one of our Accounts Managers
* Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT Transactions, Sage, and FreeAgent
* Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
* Managing quarterly submissions to HMRC under Making Tax Digital (MTD)
* Preparing self-assessment tax returns and submitting them to HMRC following client approval
* Handling and responding to HMRC enquiries
* Finalising accounts for limited companies
* Filing company accounts with Companies House and HMRC
