HR Business Partner
Somerset (site-based/1 day WFH)
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE
Robert Half LTD is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a HR Business Partner.
Essential: Proven experience working with trade unions and within a unionised environment
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK, supporting operational teams in a fast-paced setting.
The Role
As a key member of the HR function, you will lead on all industrial and employee relations matters on-site while delivering high-quality HR business partnering across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies, and supporting a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with managers to provide expert HR guidance across the employee lifecycle
* Act as the HR lead in collective agreement forums, managing the implementation of agreed changes
* Ensure clear and consistent communication between HR, payroll, and leadership teams
* Advise on employee and industrial relations matters, supporting effective resolution in line with company policies
* Ensure HR practices are compliant with UK employment law and applied consistently
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with managers, employees, and trade union representatives
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role within a unionised environment
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law
* Experience working with trade unions and employee representatives (essential)
* CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or working towards)
* Background in engineering, logistics, or construction environments preferred
