Commercial Administrator will be responsible for the administration function of the Commercial department. The role includes offering support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor to allow projects to be safely delivered on time, to budget and to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and enable the Companys goals and objective to be achieved.
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhering to ISO9001/14001/ISO 45001 policies and procedures.
Minimising risk and ensuring compliance with all sites and Health & Safety rules.
Utilising a methodical way of working to ensure that the Company is always precise and accurate in all our endeavours.
Sending inquiries to subcontractors, inviting them to tender, and engaging with the supply chain.
Compiling project handover packs and attending handover meetings, including minute-taking.
Assisting in document control and maintaining a filing structure.
Receiving and analysing quotations, liaising with Project Managers regarding price, proven history, availability etc.
Notifying in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner.
Producing and processing formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account.
Assisting to produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes.
Assisting with cost management and analysis of project performance as directed by the Quantity Surveyors.
Monitoring and controlling income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc.
Liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g. engineers, clients etc.
Assisting with the month end management accounts as directed by the Quantity Surveyors.
Maintaining detailed records of Client Purchase Orders, applications for payment and invoices (Commercial Tracker).
Assisting with Post Project Appraisals as directed by the Quantity Surveyors
Producing relevant monthly reports for the quantity surveyors e.g. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc.
Ensuring information is complete and accurate on the QC 233.
This is a temporary role, around 4-6 months work with immediate starts.
The first 2 weeks will be based out of the manufacting site in Heanor before completing the contract in the offices based in Eastwood
