Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for property and public service? Our client is seeking a Strategic Asset Manager to help shape the future of their property portfolio.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development and delivery of our client's Strategic Asset Management Plan-ensuring their land and buildings are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with service needs. You'll work across departments to optimise asset use, drive value, and support the Council's long-term financial sustainability.

Your new role


* Lead on asset strategy development and annual reviews
* Deliver feasibility studies and options appraisals (up to £10M)
* Use data to inform investment decisions and capital planning
* Collaborate with stakeholders to improve asset utilisation
* Ensure compliance with legislation and best practices


What you'll need to succeed


* Ideally MRICS qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in strategic asset management (public sector preferred)
* Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
