Overview
As we transition to a new digital platform, we are looking for a curious, consumer-focused intern to bridge the gap between technology and business impact. This role sits at the heart of our Scientific and Regulatory team, where data meets creativity. You will be responsible for ensuring our systems land effectively across the UK business while maintaining the highest level of scientific compliance.
We give you the responsibility you need to thrive and make a real difference. You will liaise directly across multiple functions—including Marketing, Commercial, Legal, and Corporate Affairs—using your analytical skills to make perceptive judgements and build a factual narrative of our digital future.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Digital Transition Lead: Design QA frameworks to understand how our new platform works in practice and build a narrative of its efficiency within the business.
* Content Creator: Upgrade and uplift the Scientific One Hub experience by creating streamlined one-pagers, high-impact visual aids, and engaging videos.
* Knowledge Transfer: Plan and deliver upskilling sessions to ensure marketing and commercial teams are fully supported during the system move.
* Scientific Support: Support scientific advisors in artwork reviews and handle technical queries from the marketing community.
* Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor products and their scientific claims to ensure L'Oréal remains at the forefront of the industry.
* Compliance Oversight: Monitor ‘My Studio’ (our communication review platform) and develop innovative ways to track and report submissions.
* Claims Cataloguing: Build a database of current and new ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) claims to share with the advisory team.
* Beauty For All: Support key initiatives within the scientific team to promote inclusivity and sustainability.
Qualifications
* Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex information, design research (QAs), and apply sound judgement.
* Creative Flair: Confident in design and storytelling, with an interest in creating visual aids or videos to simplify technical information.
* Communication & Connection: Natural ability to build relationships across different departments (Legal, Marketing, Commercial).
* Project Management: Proactive and self-driven, able to manage a 10-week project from research to concrete action plan.
* Tech Savvy: Confident in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; interest in digital platforms and system efficiency.
* Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail to ensure the highest level of compliance.
* Autonomy: Able to work under pressure, adjust priorities, and seek innovative solutions independently.
Additional Information
Returning to university upon the completion of this internship.
