An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Education and Young People's Service - Coordinated Admissions - Fair Access department.
About the team
We coordinate the admission processes for Primary (Year R), Junior (Year 3), and Secondary (Year 7) transfer. The team also coordinate and manage Kents Grammar School process the 11+. You will have the opportunity to work on all of these statutory functions and involved on wider projects to increase the knowledge base of parents, schools, and wider teams across KCC.
One of the main roles in the job is presenting appeals on behalf of schools. This involves speaking in front of parents, appeal panel members and clerks. Ideally we are looking for someone who is not phased by such a task.
The team are currently operating a hybrid work model that includes a mix of being based out of Sessions House in Maidstone and working from home. Due to the demands of the job, including your induction period, there will be times where working from the office is necessary, so being able to get to Maidstone for a 9am start is a must.
You will work closely within the School Admissions teams under the County Coordinated Admissions Manager. The role would be 9am 5pm Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.

Ideally you would have a passion for data, an enquiring mind and excellent communication skills.
