About the Team The Recruitment team at the University plays a key role in supporting hiring managers across the University through end-to-end recruitment. We are responsible for delivering a high- quality service, which attracts and appoints the best talent for a wide range of roles. We manage a high volume of recruitment activity, ensuring every candidate and hiring manager receives a professional, efficient and positive experience. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, the team works closely together to continuously look for improvement in services and streaml in ing processes which enhance the recruitment experience. About the Role As a Recruitment Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the full recruitment lifecycle. This includes confirming advertising requirements and publishing job adverts, coordinating shortlisting, scheduling interviews and assessments, completing pre‑employment checks, and issuing offers and contracts. You will act as a key point of contact for candidates and hiring managers, providing clear, timely guidance while ensuring all activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with policies, procedures and relevant legislation. In this role, you will: Support end‑to‑end recruitment processes including advertising, shortlisting coordination, interview arrangements, and onboarding of new starters. Maintain accurate records on HR and recruitment systems, ensuring data is compliant, up‑to‑date and audit‑ready. Liaise with candidates and hiring managers, delivering excellent customer service and keeping all parties informed throughout each stage of the process. Conduct and support pre‑employment checks including right to work, references, DBS, visas, and occupational health clearances. Prepare key documentation such as job adverts, offer letters and contracts of employment. Assist in coordinating recruitment campaigns and exploring advertising options to support effective attraction. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and the overall candidate experience. Work collaboratively with wider People Services teams to ensure seamless delivery during peak periods. About You You are an organised, customer‑focused administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys supporting others. With experience in an office or HR setting, you are confident managing multiple tasks at pace while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in everything you do. You will bring: Experience providing administrative support, ideally within HR and recruitment. Confidence using digital systems and Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to learn new software quickly. Understanding of recruitment processes and pre‑employment checks such as right to work, DBS, visa, and references. Able to manage competing priorities and a varied workload to meet deadlines. A proactive approach identifying and resolving routine issues and escalating appropriately. A collaborative mindset, supportive of others within the team. An ability to provide clear, accurate and professional information to candidates, colleagues and managers. A copy of the job description can be found here.
