Job title: Quality Control Senior Associate
Location: Isle of Wight - Cowes – Onsite only
Salary: Up to £39,590 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
Working as a fully contributory member of the Quality Control team actively managing own development in support of delivering our Quality Objectives
Responsible for demonstrating SHE and responsible business behaviours
Undertaking routine Quality activities in the Manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
Undertaking non-routine and or complex activities in the Manufacturing environment with supervision
Ability to access and apply the local Management System documentation e.g. policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes in the related area
Liaise and interface with appropriate areas of the business, build effective relationships, and actively participate in team meetings and working groups
Responsible for supporting internal audits and developing a good working knowledge of the processes
Responsible for understanding and supporting non-conformances management with supervision and having a good working knowledge of the processes, and ensuring corrective action implementation
Responsible for the review and collation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAI)
Responsible for accurate data reporting and analysis
Supporting requirements relating to certification activities, such as ISO 9001
The ability to produce written reports and presentations ensuring accuracy and clarity of meaning
Your skills and experiences:
NC or HNC qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent Quality experience
Awareness of ISO 9001/ EN9100 standards
Understanding of Business Management Systems
Understand the importance of cross functional integration
Actively contributes to the achievement of and has a good understanding of quality objectives
Internal auditing and First Article Inspection review experience
Awareness of the importance of evaluating data to result in improvements
Understand the relevance and importance of specifications, procedures and contract requirements
Knowledge of and experience in implementing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies; Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D, gathering objective evidence
Effective stakeholder management and communication with all relevant areas on a regular basis

The Quality Control Department:
Working as an integrated group within the Quality Function the Quality Control Team is responsible for assuring product quality throughout the Manufacturing Lifecycle.
Our aim is to ensure that we safely deliver conforming product to the Customer on time and to cost. We actively encourage identification of improvement opportunities and empower our team members to be outspoken in that regard. Our workplace in Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal to site.
