The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilledJava / Kotlin Developerto join our growing tech team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications usingJavaandKotlin. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain applications usingJavaandKotlin.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust software solutions.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, following best practices.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise code for better performance and reliability.
* Stay current with the latest technologies, frameworks, and trends in the Java/Kotlin ecosystem.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience withJavaandKotlindevelopment.
* Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such asSpringandHibernate.
* Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
* Experience withRESTful APIsandmicroservicesarchitecture.
* Knowledge of databases, bothrelational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)andNoSQL(e.g., MongoDB).
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
* Familiarity with version control systems such asGitand CI/CD processes.
Desirable:
* Experience withcloud technologies(e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
* Familiarity withAndroid developmentusing Kotlin.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools likeDockerandKubernetes.
Target Salary:
* £40,000 - £50,000per annum (depending on experience)
