Location/Department specific tasks andcompetencies may apply.Essential functions: Deliver Radiationtreatment through operation of the linear accelerator andassociated imaging systems. Perform daily patient and room set upin accordance with each treatment plan. Perform accurate and timelydocumentation in the EMR. Ensure appropriate charge entry forprovided service. Perform EPID review. Maintain ability toeffectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and departmentspecific software applications to perform work. Communicateeffectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contributeto the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean ProcessImprovement activities. Complete all mandatory learningrequirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/orcertification as required. Attend and actively participate in alldepartment team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all SkagitRegional Health department and location specific policies andprocedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor ordesignee.Education: Graduate of a Committee on Allied HealthEducation and Accreditation (AMA) accredited Radiation Therapistprogram.Experience/Training: Previous experience as a RadiationTherapist preferred.License/Certifications: Current WashingtonState Radiologic Technologist registration required within 90 daysof hire. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT) Radiation Therapy Registered or Registry (RT(T)) eligible.Completion of certification required within three (3) months ofdate of hire. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.OtherSkills: Effective verbal written and interpersonal communicationskills required. Must be able to effectively utilize MicrosoftOffice applications to perform work. Welldeveloped problem solvingskills required. Must be able to effectively prioritize workloadamongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities. Knowledgeof the healthcare environment required. Ability to coordinate workschedule with requirements of position (may include overtime andweekend work).Physical Demands & Work Environment: The physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be metby an employee to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job. While performing the duties of this job the employee isregularly required to talk and hear. This position is very activeand requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouchingcrawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift ormove objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
