A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Global Category Manager – Indirect Procurement to take ownership of a significant spend portfolio across multiple regions and business units. This is a high‑visibility role shaping group‑wide strategy for Indirects, FM, CapEx and Utilities, while drivingmercial value,ernance and supplier excellence.
Your new role
As Global Category Manager, you will:
1. Develop and deliver global category strategies across Indirects (Corporate & Professional Services, HR), Soft FM, CapEx and Utilities.
2. Partner with external consultants to manage the global property portfolio across owned and leased sites.
3. Lead sourcing activity, major negotiations and long‑term supplier relationship management to secure best‑in-classmercial terms.
4. Analyse global spend, supplier markets and stakeholder needs to identify cost reduction and value creation opportunities.
5. Champion procurementernance, process adherence and supplierpliance across regions.
6. Drive change management, influencing senior stakeholders and ensuring delivery of savings, performance improvements and ESG objectives.
7. Provide accurate reporting, insights and category updates to enable informed global decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in a global category management role within Indirect Procurement. – FM or Estates category experience desirable.
9. Strongmercial acumen, negotiation capability and category strategy development skills.
10. Experience in aplex, multinational private‑sector business.
11. Excellent analytical and project management capability, with evidence of delivering cost savings.
12. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across geographically dispersed teams.
13. CIPS qualification and degree (preferred but not essential).
