About the Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer role:
The role of Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer is an opportunity to contribute to the work of National Museums Scotland by building relationships and growing income for public benefit.
You will work to secure and increase income towards our innovative programme of exhibitions and learning activities, enhance our partnerships, and fundraise for diverse priority projects such as acquisitions and conservation, enabling National Museums Scotland to share compelling stories of our past, present and future, that inspire audiences of all ages. Through this role you will deliver enhanced stewardship for donors and partners, deepening relationships with the museums and our collection.
As Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer at National Museums Scotland you will:
* Trust and foundation applications; lead fundraising approaches and stewardship for a portfolio of grant funders circa. £5,000-£25,000
* Major donor stewardship; develop and deliver stewardship activities that support increased and enhanced engagement with existing supporters (individuals and trusts), deepening their relationships with National Museums Scotland, increasing retention rates and lifetime giving
* Corporate fundraising; corporate partner account management, delivery of corporate benefits and corporate partner research.
Skills and experience we're looking for in our Philanthropy and Parternships Officer:
* Experience of writing successful grant applications
* Knowledge of donor and/or corporate partner stewardship and engagement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in a relevant or transferable environment (charity, fundraising, etc)
* Experience of using a CRM database
* Planning and organisation skills, managing multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
