A growing UK tech consultancy is hiring a mid-level IAM Engineer to come in and own the identity space. Strong public sector footprint, real gov programme work in the pipeline, and a team that promotes from within (their last hire at this level is now leading a team, 18 months on).

It's a consultancy, but you're not bouncing between random clients every six weeks. You'll get proper depth on a Microsoft + Okta estate, exposure to UK gov environments, and a seat where the IAM function is genuinely valued.
What you'll actually be doing
* Running BAU identity ops across AD, Entra ID and M365
* Owning the JML process end to end (not just rubber-stamping tickets)
* Acting as escalation point for 2nd line, working closely with the security team
* Supporting access reviews and tightening up permissions against Zero Trust standards
* Automating the repetitive stuff with PowerShell and ServiceNow
* Getting hands-on with Okta if you're not already (SSO, federation, lifecycle)
What you'll need
* Solid AD and Entra ID / Azure AD admin
* M365 identity (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint perms)
* A real grasp of RBAC, Least Privilege and Zero Trust, not just buzzword bingo
* ServiceNow or similar ITSM
* Eligible to hold UK SC clearance
Nice to have: Okta, PowerShell scripting, UK gov or regulated sector exposure, ITIL / ISO 27001 awareness.
