Fixed Term Contract
The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St. Michael's RC Primary School wish to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic, and highly effective practitioner who is committed to children's learning, well-being, and the raising of standards. The successful candidate should also be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school. This is a full-time post for 2 terms from 1st September 2025 until Easter 2026.
We are seeking a practitioner who:
* is a practicing Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos and practices of our school
* is committed to the safeguarding of pupils
* is a dedicated and highly effective teacher with high expectations of themselves and of each child
* can work well in a team, to organise, manage, and motivate others
* has the ability to build good relationships with children, parents, governors, and the wider community
* has a personal philosophy centered around the well-being and inclusion of all pupils
* has the ability to inspire a love of learning in children
* will contribute effectively to the wider life of the school
* has a strong work ethic, being reliable, punctual, and approaching work with energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of humour
Selection Process
The appointment process will involve a lesson observation, after which successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the Headteacher and Governing Body.
