Job Description:
We have a brand new opportunity to join our Asset team as an Assistant Manager.
The North West Trunk Road Unit covers approximately 1,422 km of trunk roads across scenic parts of Scotland, including 1,501 bridges and structures like the Kessock Bridge and the Skye Crossing.
The area spans from Thurso and Wick in the north to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, and from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt.
The Assistant Network Data Manager will report to the Network Data Manager and will oversee inspections to meet contractual and manual requirements, managing a team of Asset Inspectors.
Role includes:
* Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
* Managing daily activities of Inspectors and operations in AMPS.
* Ensuring timely inspections in accordance with the inspection program and manual.
* Reviewing inspection data for accuracy and compliance.
* Assisting in reviewing Geotechnical Asset Inspections.
* Reporting and liaising with the AMPS team to resolve issues.
* Responding to Hazard Notices and Inspection Observations.
* Performing other duties as directed by the Network Data Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Experience with inspection procedures and data capture hardware/software.
* Knowledge of Routine Management and Maintenance Systems.
* Compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
* Effective team working and problem-solving skills.
* Flexible and self-motivated attitude.
* Valid UK driving license.
