HR Advisor (6-month interim role)

Hourly Rate £17.29 (equivalent of £33,366 per annum)
I’ve partnered with a large public sector organisation based in Cheshire as they look to appoint an experienced HR Advisor for an initial 6 month period.
Reporting into a HR Business Partner, who’s main remit is Culture Change & Policy, you will support them to create and update HR policies to further develop a highly positive and rewarding working environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further exposure to a wide range of HR projects for a large and varied workforce and to assist in creating a great place to work and an employer of choice.
Key responsibilities of the HR Advisor:
* Support the development and delivery of HR policies, processes and frameworks.
* Utilising feedback from organisational wide and external reviews, you will support an HR BP to update a wide range of HR policies and procedures.
* Build and manage stakeholder relationships, making sure they are up to speed with new policies.
* Help embed policies and positive culture with the organisation’s core values.
* Support managers on a wide range of HR delivery areas: absence management, performance management, change management, recruitment and promotion and workforce/succession planning.
* Assist with Employee Relations casework, including grievances, disciplinaries and capability proceedings.
* Deliver coaching and training for managers in the application and interpretation of policy and promote best practice.
* Analyse sources of people data and produce meaningful information for key stakeholders showing trends, return on investment and value for money.
Key requirements for the HR Advisor:
* It is essential that you are an experienced HR professional and have worked at either HR Officer or HR Advisor level previously.
* You must be confident and experienced in dealing with a wide range of Employee Relations casework
* Ideally you will have a mixture of both public sector/not-for-profit with commercial experience. However, this is not essential.
* Ideally you will be degree or CIPD qualified or part qualified, however relevant experience is key for the successful candidate.
* You will be strong communicator who can confidently engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels and challenge the status quo.
* You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as working and contributing to a wider HR team.
