Head of Naval Architecture

Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of naval architects, providing technical guidance and assuring the output of the team in the delivery of our products
* Create an efficient department built on industry-leading techniques and data-driven solutions to minimize the time from problem to product
* Develop and take responsibility for the naval architecture roadmap for future projects
* Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
* Confidently interface with internal and external customers to understand requirements and provide technical expertise
* Maintain and champion excellent verbal and written communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing project requirements and timelines
* Manage change effectively to ensure minimal disruption to project delivery and team dynamics
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree-qualified in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, Marine Engineering or a related field
* Proven track record in designing advanced maritime platforms, preferably including subsurface vessels
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for personal development of others
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Rhino, Inventor, Star-CCM+, Paramarine, Maxsurf)
* Familiarity with Atlassian suite is beneficial
* Professional registration (chartership) with an appropriate institution desirable
