We have an exciting new opportunity for a Support Worker within our Morecambe learning disability services. Our tenants have a variety of interests and hobbies, including volunteering, walking, and even membership in the Rollercoaster Association!
Role Overview
As part of our dedicated staff team, you will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism. Your role will involve helping our service users enjoy a high quality of life by participating in various activities they love, both at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and involved professionals to ensure a coordinated and consistent service.
2. Provide respectful personal care and offer practical and emotional support.
3. Develop and maintain warm and trusting relationships with service users.
4. Work flexibly over weekends and bank holidays, with both day and waking night shifts available.
Qualifications and Benefits
While prior experience is beneficial, we value an engaging, creative, and person-centred approach. Full training is provided, and opportunities to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care are available.
