This is a role whereyour expertise directly supports patient care — every repair, inspection, andimprovement you make contributes to a safer hospital for everyone.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical systems — from lighting and distribution to fire detection, security systems, and critical plant
Carryingout fault‑finding, diagnostics, and repairs on complex systems
Providing technical advice and working closely with contractors and suppliers
Participatingin the on‑call rota and responding to emergencies when needed
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Sodexo policies
Using CAFM systemsto manage and monitor work effectively
What You’ll Bring
Completed electrical apprenticeship or structured training programme
Relevant City & Guilds qualifications
Experience in a maintenance environment
Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and statutory compliance
Ability to workindependently and adapt to changing priorities
Willingness toundertake specialist training and Authorised Person duties
Desirable: • Experience in an acute hospital setting • IT skills and familiarity with critical electrical systems
Additional Requirements
Abilityto meet a 30‑minute response time for on‑call duties
Flexibility to work overtime or provide additional cover
Commitmentto patient dignity, confidentiality, and high‑quality service
