A high-growth tech client is hiring an Automation Engineer to bring automation capabilities in-house supercharging their operational strategy across marketing, product, and customer success.
Rather than scripting ad hoc workflows, you’ll be building smart, scalable, event-driven automations using n8n, Make and Retool. You’ll join the Operations team, sitting across product, growth, and customer experience, responsible for building new workflows and owning the existing automation infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Designing and delivering modular, reusable automations across onboarding, upgrades, and customer journey events.
2. Using no-code/low-code platforms like n8n and Make to eliminate friction across internal operations.
3. Connecting tools and platforms using APIs and webhooks – enabling product-led growth without engineering bottlenecks.
4. Translating stakeholder needs into structured automation logic, from discovery to deployment.
5. Supporting a central operations layer that ensures data integrity, system visibility, and process consistency.
What You’ll Need
6. Two or three years of commercial experience in business operations, internal tooling, or automation engineering.
7. A strong working knowledge of n8n and Make (used daily).
8. Hands-on experience working with APIs and designing event-based systems.
9. Familiarity with Supabase, Airtable, and a good understanding of data structure and foreign key relationships.
10. Natural ability in requirements gathering, with strong system-thinking and documentation skills.
