Secondary Supply Teachers – Flexible, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Great Yarmouth, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Duties as Secondary Supply Teacher: Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere Support pupils’ learning and progress during short-term cover Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes Ideal Secondary Supply Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Experience teaching in secondary schools across Key Stages 3 and/or 4 Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and subjects Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff Stand Out with Step Teachers At Step Teachers, we’re proud to be the only education recruitment agency in Norfolk offering Step On training, part of the County’s respected Norfolk Steps behaviour management programme to all teachers and support staff who register with us.
