About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
We have two vacancies: one for 28 hours per week and another for 21 hours per week.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, assist the Home Manager with fundraising events, and foster social confidence among Residents. Whether developing new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies or involving the care team, your approach will be rooted in kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff will receive safeguarding training and additional role-specific training. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
