Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on skills/experience, plus competitive 12% pension benefit
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day p/a to 28 days

We are looking for a Nature Markets Lead to build market readiness, secure investment and structure commitments for a portfolio of nature-based sustainable finance initiatives.
You will play a strategic role in investor and market engagement through building market demand and facilitating strategic partnerships.
How you will do this:
* Developing business strategies for BirdLife International's flagship Sustainable Finance Initiatives.
* Providing technical oversight, including supporting the development of business models, market analysis and marketing strategies.
* Leading on financial and cashflow modelling, advising on risk management.
* Providing technical input and quality assurance.
* Building corporate and investor demand for high-integrity, nature-based assets.
* Advising and coordinating partnership governance structuring and negotiating legal and financial agreements.
* Gathering insights and intelligence on the wider development of nature finance.
* Leading on the development of high-quality marketing and fundraising materials.
What we are looking for:
You'll need to be flexible, adaptable and culturally sensitive with excellent communication and influencing skills. You'll also need:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Natural Resources Management, Sustainability or other related area.
* Deep knowledge of the market and trends in sustainable, impact or conservation finance.
* Specific knowledge of market-based conservation such as nature-based carbon projects, green bonds, conservation enterprises etc.
* A background in a mixture of NGO, private sector/public sector is desirable, experience of impact or nature finance is highly desirable.
