Job Description: The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is a global leader in providing innovative energy solutions that contribute to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an HSE Specialist. The role will provide HSE advice and support to a portfolio of projects in the UK and further develop the positive HSE culture through engagement and auditing across a number of construction sites which will involve UK-wide travel. You will be from a construction background.

How you'll make an impact
* Provide cost effective specialist HSE support and advice to tendering and project delivery teams throughout the project life cycle
* Support the development of processes consistent with Legislation Group and ESI / Construction Industry best practice
* Provide internal service for audit and inspection of projects and departmental processes to monitor performance & identify areas for improvement
* Support HSE performance improvement strategies and campaigns linked to key business objectives & targets for implementation internally & through supply chain partners
* Produce monthly HSE KPIs and management information for review and action by the Management Team
Your background
* HSE professional with project / construction experience
* Qualified to NEBOSH Construction level in HSE Management
* Conversant with relevant ISO standards
* Computer literate & proficient IT skills
* Experienced in the operation & management of business management systems
