Overview
We are partnering with a well-established Private Equity backed global organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner for their growing team in York.
This is a pivotal position within the business, offering the opportunity to work closely with both operational and commercial stakeholders to deliver meaningful financial insight, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the successful execution of key business initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a central role in interpreting complex financial information and transforming it into clear, actionable recommendations, establishing themselves as a trusted advisor and valued business partner across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Partner with operational teams and senior leaders to drive business performance.
* Deliver meaningful MI, including detailed financial analysis and variance reporting.
* Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
* Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to improve profitability.
* Support commercial decision-making through robust financial analysis.
* Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the organisation.
* Continuous improvement of financial reporting, processes, and controls, leveraging business intelligence tools.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Passionate about partnering with the wider business and making a tangible impact.
* Strong track record of delivering value in a commercial environment.
* Ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision-making.
* Commercially astute, with genuine interest in what drives performance.
* Highly analytical, able to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
* Confident communicator, comfortable challenging the status quo.
* Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.
