Personal Assistant Role for a Sweet‑Nurtured 6‑Year‑Old

Location: Bognor Regis
Role Overview: Support an active, sweet‑natured 6‑year‑old boy with daily activities, outings and care.
Employment Status: Employed (subject to agreement)
Hours: 4 hours per week during term time (outside school hours), 8 hours per week during school holidays. Days and times negotiable. Please provide availability.
Pay: £12.71 per hour. Mileage: 45p per mile.
Essential Qualifications: Valid drivers licence, own vehicle, physically fit to lift child into pushchair. Must be calm, patient, attentive, and engage actively with play and movement.
About the Child:
* Chilled and laid‑back personality
* Can speak/understand multiple languages
* Loves music (especially The Beatles)
* Very active and curious
* Fan of reading – will read anything
* Communicates in own way, understands Makaton, benefits from learning signs
* Minimal verbal autism, non‑conversational speech but tells needs
Duties Include:
* Moving and handling child
* Transportation to activities
* Companionship during outings
* Accessing and participating in social and leisure activities (e.g., swimming, Flip Out, soft play)
* Other relevant duties as required
Candidate Qualities:
* Respectful of employer’s privacy and confidentiality
* Reliable with good time‑keeping
* Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Hygienic, tidy and well‑organised
* Fit and healthy for duties
* Patient with excellent interpersonal skills
* Honest and cheerful
* Creative
* Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
* Comfortable with pets
* Complies with health & safety standards
Additional Requirements: Non‑smoker preferred or willing to refrain from smoking during working hours.
Additional Notes: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
Applicants will be engaged directly or employed by the individual employer. The role may be offered on an employed or self‑employed basis, depending on suitability and agreement. If employed, you will receive holiday pay and be issued an employment contract.
