Overview
Our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team is a national team with a huge reputation for complex litigation. Clients receive an experienced partner led service supported by a team of talented legal directors, associates and solicitors well known for handling the full range of contractual, commercial and corporate disputes across a broad spectrum of industries including banking, finance, manufacturing, distribution, IT, higher education and energy.
Responsibilities
* Managing your own litigation caseload from start to finish and supervising other members of the team
* Working alongside senior lawyers to support a wide range of potentially reputationally damaging matters
* Working with universities, colleges and education sector bodies
* Assisting on large and complex transactions, with appropriate supervision
* Handling client and internal enquiries efficiently and professionally
* Liaising directly with clients and internal stakeholders, particularly the core Education team
* Meeting strict deadlines and client and sector priorities
* Involved in marketing activities including attending networking events and writing articles for professional journals
Qualifications
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy team while working independently and proactively
* Ability to manage own litigation caseload
* Ability to effectively supervise junior solicitors
* Genuine desire to specialise and develop growth in the Education practice
* High levels of initiative and ability to thrive in a demanding environment
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong client-focused mindset with commitment to building lasting relationships
