Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a small team delivering high‑quality grounds and landscaping services across a portfolio of outdoor highway sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining green spaces and enjoys leading from the front.
You will be responsible for using the ride on mowers and towing the trailer's, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a professional standard. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and confident managing both people and work schedules.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Leading and supervising a grounds maintenance team on daily tasks
* Operating and maintaining machinery and equipment, including ride-on mowers
* Planning workloads and ensuring timely completion of scheduled works
* Grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, litter picking, and general site upkeep
* Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed on site
* Communicating with clients and reporting progress to management
* Towing equipment using a trailer when required

Essential Criteria
* Proven experience using ride‑on mowers
* Experience towing trailers
* Previous experience in grounds maintenance
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (due to remote site location)
* Ability to lead, motivate, and support a small team
* Strong communication and organisational skills
