Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home
Are you a passionate and experienced leader looking for an opportunity to genuinely grow with a company that values its staff? We're a small, family-run business with big plans, and we're looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to join our team in central Carlisle.
We currently operate one small children's residential home and have exciting plans to expand to two homes before the end of the year. This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact and progress your career within a supportive and caring environment.
What you'll be doing:
As our Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall success and management of our home, ensuring we provide the highest standards of care, fully in line with OFSTED regulations. You'll lead a committed team, champion a child-centred approach, and continuously strive to enhance the lives of the children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic leadership and management for the home.
Ensuring full compliance with OFSTED regulations and all quality standards.
Leading, developing, and supporting our team of dedicated care professionals.
Implementing and overseeing personalised care plans for each child.
Promoting a strong culture of safeguarding and emotional well-being.
Effectively managing budgets, resources, and all operational responsibilities.
Building strong relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.
You'll report directly to a Senior Manager, but you'll also have the full support of our Team Managers and a dedicated, experienced staff team working alongside you at all times.
What we're looking for:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it).
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting.
Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the evolving needs of the home.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a starting salary of £50,000, which can be discussed and adjusted based on your experience. You'll also be eligible for annual bonuses, pending company performance. We believe in taking care of our staff and fostering a positive, family-like atmosphere.
If you're ready to take on a rewarding role with a company that truly cares, we'd love to hear from you!
