Guidant Global is proud to partner with Airbus UK to recruit a Manufacturing Engineering - Tools Development Engineer based at their Broughton site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development, industrialisation and delivery of jigs and tools that support world-class wing manufacturing programmes.

As a Tools Development Engineer, you'll take ownership of tooling solutions from early concept through to final acceptance and handover to Operations. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and programme teams, you will:
Develop, modify and industrialise jigs and tooling assets to support production requirements
Ensure manufacturing system and facility designs meet Manufacturing Engineering, quality and EHS requirements
Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and support continuous improvement
Integrate new industrial technologies, working collaboratively with industrial architects and R&D teams
Support the delivery of robust manufacturing systems capable of meeting product design and process capability requirements
Build strong interfaces with programme teams to ensure timely and accurate design data flow to manufacturing
Contribute to measurement, reporting and governance frameworks in line with PMO standards
Support R&T submissions to help secure development funding where required
We're keen to hear from engineers who are collaborative, delivery-focused and comfortable working in a complex manufacturing environment. Appropriate engineering qualifications (e.g. Experience or knowledge of wing manufacturing or similar complex production environments
Strong technical engineering skills, including interpreting drawings, specifications and tooling documentation
An understanding of product development and design-to-manufacture principles
Awareness of health, safety and quality standards within an industrial setting
The ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across engineering, operations and suppliers
A structured approach to problem-solving, project delivery and continuous improvement
Experience from aerospace or other high-volume production industries is highly transferable and welcomed.
