The Role
As Payroll Manager EMEA, you’ll lead a team of five payroll specialists, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries. You’ll be the right hand to the Senior Payroll Manager, driving operational excellence, process improvements, and acting as a subject‑matter expert for payroll across the region. This role is based in London and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our payroll operations and team development.
Your Impact
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
* Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for all EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local legislation and company standards
* Audit and approve payrolls, maintaining accuracy and integrity of payroll accounts
* Initiate and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
* Manage team capacity planning, workload distribution, and succession planning
* Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll compliance, audit findings, and regulatory queries
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HR, Retail Operations) and external payroll partners
* Represent Payroll in monthly financial close activities, ensuring accurate reporting, accruals, and journals
* Maintain and update payroll systems (Kronos, Oracle, ADP), aligning with business needs
* Participate in and lead payroll‑related projects and initiatives

We Would Love To Hear From People With
* Extensive experience in a multinational EMEA payroll function
* Certified Payroll Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred
* Proven managerial experience, able to lead by example and inspire your team
* Analytical, detail‑oriented, and highly organized, thriving in a fast‑paced environment
* Skilled in payroll and HR software (ADP, Workday, Oracle, Kronos)
* Knowledgeable about SOX compliance and the technical aspects of payroll processing
