Overview
A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its busy and well-established team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of private client matters while contributing to the departments growth and the firms continued reputation for excellence.
The Role
The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and well-organised, with proven expertise in a broad range of private client work, including:
* Drafting Wills, including those incorporating trusts for complex family arrangements
* Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
* Preparing and registering Powers of Attorney, EPAs and LPAs
* Court of Protection matters
* Administration of taxable and non-taxable estates
* Advising on and identifying trust administration requirements
You will also contribute to departmental marketing initiatives, supporting the firms profile within the community and building strong client relationships.

* Provide an ongoing, high-quality service to existing clients
* Collaborate with partners and fee earners to develop new business
* Contribute to departmental growth and client development
* Meet agreed fee income targets
* Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice
* Maintain strong financial control, including billing and cash flow management
* Carry out fee-earning work in accordance with quality and risk management procedures
Person Specification
Essential
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
* Significant experience in private client law, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, estate administration, tax planning, and trusts
* Strong organisational and caseload management skills
* Excellent understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account Rules
* Ability to handle sensitive matters and clients with mental capacity issues
* IT literate, including experience with case management systems
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable
* STEP qualification or willingness to work towards it
* Experience with agricultural estates and/or high-net-worth clients
* Supervisory experience
* Marketing, business development, and public speaking skills
* Existing client following
