Your main responsibilities will revolve around delivering engaging and interactive Design and Technology (DT) lessons to both primary and secondary students. These lessons will not only cultivate creativity and problem-solving skills but also equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver inspiring and inclusive DT lessons to students.
* Create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and critical thinking.
* Assess and provide timely feedback on student progress and performance.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the DT curriculum.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic achievements.
* Effectively communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities.
* Ensure the safety of students during DT lessons and adhere to health and safety regulations.
* Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
* Prior teaching experience in Design and Technology.
* Strong knowledge of current educational trends and practices in DT education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a diverse classroom and cater to individual student needs.
* Organizational and time management skills.
* Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in DT teaching.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational advancements.
