We currently have the following opportunity: Principal Teacher of Computing - PKC13130 £55,155 Blairgowrie High School Are you an inspiring educator with a passion for Computing Science and a drive to lead learning in a dynamic secondary school environment? If so, we are seeking a committed and forward-thinking Principal Teacher of Computing to lead our Computing department and contribute to the wider life of the school. As Principal Teacher of Computing, you will: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Computing Science across the BGE and Senior Phase, including National, Higher and Advanced Higher levels. Lead the strategic development of the Computing department, ensuring a progressive and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Support and mentor colleagues within the department, promoting professional learning and collaborative practice. Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and attainment, using data to inform planning and improvement. Contribute to whole-school initiatives, improvement planning, and the development of digital learning across the curriculum. Manage departmental resources effectively and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Play a key role in promoting STEM engagement and digital literacy across the school community. Skills & Experience Required You will be: A GTCS-registered teacher with a qualification in Computing or a related discipline. An excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of Curriculum for Excellence and SQA qualifications. A confident leader with experience of curriculum development and a commitment to raising attainment. A collaborative team player who can inspire both students and colleagues. Passionate about digital learning and the role of Computing in preparing young people for the future.
