School Office Manager
Location: Finchley
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Contract: Full-time, all year round
Annual Leave: 30 days per year plus bank holidays (to be taken outside of term time)

Our client is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive School Office Manager to lead the administration and operational functions across their school. This is a pivotal role, providing strategic and hands-on management of the school office team while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school’s inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming environment.
About the Role The School Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the school office across all campuses. This role involves line-managing administrative staff, coordinating processes across multiple systems, and ensuring compliance with school policies and statutory requirements.
The postholder will act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and external partners, ensuring that communications and administration are handled professionally, efficiently, and in line with the school’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the school office team, providing direction, support, and performance management
Oversee day-to-day administrative operations across all school sites
Ensure accurate and timely use of school management information systems (MIS) and other administrative platforms
Maintain compliance with statutory and internal policies, including HR, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures
Act as a point of contact for parents, carers, staff, and external stakeholders
Support senior leadership in coordinating school-wide administrative projects and initiatives
Develop and implement office procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Manage and prioritise competing workloads, ensuring deadlines and standards are consistently met
Support a positive, flexible, and inclusive working environment aligned with neurodiversity-affirming valuesPerson Specification Essential:
Proven experience in office management or senior administrative leadership, ideally in an educational or multi-site setting
Excellent organisational and people management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence using MIS and administrative systems
Positive, flexible approach with a commitment to supporting a neurodiversity-affirming environmentDesirable:
Experience within an independent or specialist school setting
Knowledge of compliance processes including HR, safeguarding, and health and safety
Familiarity with systems such as SchoolPod, Arbor, TimeMoto, ParentMail, or similar
About you:
Experience working within a school environment
Must have experience using SIMS, Arbor, BROMCOM or similar
A valid DBS on the DBS update service
