Job Advert: Health & Safety Manager – Façade Remediation (Principal Contractor)\n£60,000 – £75,000 + Package | Hybrid Working |\n\nA leading Façade Remediation Specialist, operating as Principal Contractor, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to take full ownership of its health and safety function. With in-house scaffolding and roofing divisions, and projects valued up to £7 million, this role supports the delivery of complex remediation schemes nationwide for major developers, housing associations, and local authorities.\n\nThis is a rare opportunity to build a Health & Safety department from the ground up, introducing your own systems, policies, and procedures while influencing safety culture at every level of the organisation.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDepartment Leadership & Development\n\n * Design and implement a full suite of H&S policies, procedures, and reporting systems\n\n * Drive and maintain ISO 45001 accreditation\n\n * Ensure company-wide compliance with CDM 2015 and all statutory obligations\n\nTraining & Competency\n\n * Manage the company training matrix across all staff levels\n\n * Organise and oversee training schedules, including mandatory and specialist training\n\n * Administer and track training rebates and related funding\n\nSite Audits & Safety Oversight\n\n * Conduct nationwide site visits and audits, supporting Site Managers to improve performance\n\n * Create and regularly update RAMS, Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), and other site documentation\n\n * Revise RAMS as site activities evolve\n\n * Lead company-level audits and performance reviews\n\nInternal & External Communication\n\n * Produce and distribute monthly H&S newsletters and bulletins for teams and residents\n\n * Provide ongoing support and clear guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders\n\n * Promote a strong, positive H&S culture throughout the organisation\n\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n * £60,000 – £75,000 base salary (depending on experience)\n\n * Hybrid working (office/site/home-based balance following onboarding)\n\n * All travel and accommodation expenses covered for nationwide site support\n\n * Company pension and benefits package\n\n * Long-term opportunity to build and lead your own H&S department\n\n * A meaningful role in delivering safer homes and buildings through critical façade remediation\n\nRequirements:\n\n * NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum); Tech IOSH or higher preferred\n\n * 3–5+ years’ experience in a senior H&S role in construction\n\n * Experience in façade remediation, cladding, scaffolding, or roofing environments preferred\n\n * Proven understanding of CDM 2015 and ISO 45001 compliance\n\n * Excellent communication and leadership skills\n\n * Full UK driving licence and flexibility for nationwide travel\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to take a leadership role within a respected and growing specialist contractor, with the flexibility of hybrid working
