Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Director, the Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the day to day running of the Finance department.The FC will join initially on a temp contract for 6 months with the potential of Temp to Perm if it works out on both sides.This can also just be a temp role whilst a perm FC is recruited.The role will be responsible for;
3. Revenue control (Revenue accrued or deferred).
4. Manage outstanding po from customers (requires some attendance at customer meetings supporting the Customer Relationship Manager)
5. Manage AR including Credit Controller
6. Invoicing control (ensure invoices are raised correctly on time)
7. VAT reporting
8. Payroll responsibility (payroll processing is outsourced)
9. Manage 3 AP clerks
10. Be a key player in cross functional teams
11. Manage and oversee all financial operations, including reporting and forecasting.
12. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
13. Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
14. Monitor cash flow and implement strategies for financial efficiency.
15. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate record-keeping.
16. Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
17. Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
18. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
19. Qualifications in accounting (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
20. Proven experience in financial management.
21. Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
22. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
23. Proficiency in financial systems and software.
24. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
25. Exceptional organisational and leadership capabilities.

26. Competitive salary c £60,000 - £65000.
