On behalf of our client, Yorkshire Community Healthcare, we are seeking a dedicated 1-1 support worker to assist service users within the community. Our client is a young gentleman with learning disabilities who requires round-the-clock support. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in healthcare or support services.
Shift Schedule
* 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
* 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (Sleeper Shift)
* 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care in the client's home, assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Monitor the client's health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
* Offer emotional support and companionship to the client and their family.
* Accompany the client to appointments as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe living environment, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and stored properly.
* Participate in team meetings and other healthcare activities as required.
* Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, especially regarding confidentiality and data protection.
* Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
* Foster a positive environment through companionship and social interaction.
* Build trusting relationships with the client to help achieve personal goals.
* Provide clinical interventions when necessary.
* Collaborate effectively within a team.
* Assist with household duties as required.
