WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office location.

If so, the Business Continuity & Response Manager role within GCOO Resilience Enablement offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact on customer, colleague, and operational outcomes.
Sitting within GCOO Business Resilience Office (BRO), this role supports the delivery of the GCOO operational resilience framework, with a primary focus on business continuity and incident response capability. You will work closely with business areas, resilience specialists, and Group Incident Management to ensure resilience activities are embedded,maintained, and effective.
This is adelivery‑focusedroleoperatingin afast‑paced, regulated environment, requiring strong organisation, collaboration, and calm execution—particularly during incidents.
1. Deliver andmaintainBusiness Continuity and incident response capability across GCOO, ensuring plans, people and processes are ready for disruption.
2. Maintainhigh‑qualityBusiness Continuity Plans, Business ImpactAssessmentsand Important Business Services activity, working closely with business stakeholders.
3. Support incident response atBronzelevel (including rota participation) and coordinate response activity acrossSilver and Goldincidents whenrequired.
4. Plan and deliver resilience testing and exercises, capturing outcomes and learning to drive continuous improvement.
5. Provide clear governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement to build resilience awareness and ownership across GCOO.
6. Contribute to improving tools,templatesand ways of working, collaborating across the BRO and wider Group resilience community.
7. Support a 24/7 local / Bronze‑level response capability, including rota participation

Whatyou’llneed
8. Strong background working in business continuity and/or operational resilience within a regulated or complex organisation.
9. Proven experience supporting or leading live incidents, across planning,responseand recovery.
10. Experience with resilience testing,exercisingand capturingpost‑incidentlearning.
11. Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage shifting priorities.
12. Clear and confident communication skills, able to work effectively with both technical andnon‑technicalstakeholders.
13. Calm, pragmatic judgement under pressure, with anoutcome‑focusedmindset.
14. Digitally confident, with an interest in improving efficiency through tools,automationand smarter ways of working.
15. Collaborative, inclusive and accountable, with a strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
