Ofsted Registered Supported Accommodation Young People 16+ - Deputy Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Deputy Home Manager to become an integral part of our management team.
In this role, you will support and care for our young people and be responsible in supporting the Registered Manager in the running of the home. The focus of the home is to achieve positive outcomes for our young people though personalised care planning, creating positive attachments, consistent key working, engaging in activities and building on their life skills – readying them for independent living.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Deputy Manager Key Responsibilities
These responsibilities are for guidance and do not incorporate every duty of this position. As the needs of the business will change and evolve, the job description is subject to change.
* Knowledge of the applicable Ofsted Quality Standards and regulations and ensuring the home is compliant with Ofsted requirements.
* Complete audits
* Ensure the support plans are reviewed at appropriate intervals
* Ensure the main aims of the placement are kept on target
* Ensure that the young people's files are kept in order and up to date
* To work alongside the Registered Manager to train and develop team members through induction/probation periods/supervisions and appraisals. Manage performance issues.
* To be creative and dynamic in empowering the team in problem solving in crisis intervention
* To role model and promote agreed models of practice
* To devise, implement and review the young person's placement plans, consulting with the young people, and reporting to the Registered Manager any change of needs, risks and achievements and any additional resources required to achieve good outcomes.
* Provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all young people in the home, helping them to develop independence and life skills.
* Plan and deliver activities and programmes to meet the needs and interests of the children and young adults.
* Work collaboratively with other Team members, external agencies, and professionals to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of the children and young people are met.
* Assist the young person to establish, promote and maintain positive links with their school or college, family members (or significant others) and other professionals involved in their support system.
* Complete and maintain accurate records in line with legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies.
* Help develop and implement support plans, risk assessments and other documents to support the delivery of high-quality care and ensure these are reviewed at appropriate intervals.
* Undertake any additional training or professional development required to improve knowledge and understanding.
* Ensure that all necessary appointments are arranged, and social workers, parents or significant others are kept well informed.
* Uphold the values, principles, and policies of Libre Living and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour.

Additional requirements
All candidates must be able to provide proof of their right to work in this country.
* Good standard of education (GCSE, NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
* Training relevant to the post
* UK Driving Licence (preferred)
* Level 3 diploma (minimum) in Children and Young people*
* Relevant previous or current employment
* Some experience of parenting / caring of young people with challenging behaviour.
* Enhanced DBS **
* Successful candidates who do not have a level 5 diploma will be required to complete this within the first 2 years of employment with Libre Living. This will be funded by the Company.
**DBS checks will be completed for all applicants that do not have an enhanced DBS. All team members will be required to sign up to the DBS Update service. The Company will pay the cost of an initial DBS and the update service fee.

· Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
