Were now looking for a highly organised, adaptable, and proactive Business Support Lead to help drive our work forward. About the Role As Business Support Lead, youll provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the General Manager and Directors, helping ensure the smooth delivery of our environmental credit schemes.
Youll be the vital link between our team, external partners, and stakeholders keeping our operations running efficiently and enabling NEC to focus on delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes for Norfolks environment.
This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working across different projects, and wants to make a difference behind the scenes.
In this role, you will: Be the first point of contact for enquiries about our biodiversity and nutrient mitigation schemes
Support the trading and tracking of environmental credits, working with developers and planning authorities
Coordinate communications and engagement with landowners, consultants, and local authority officers
Maintain accurate systems for monitoring, evaluation and reporting of mitigation projects
Help organise and prepare for key meetings, project updates, and reports for our leadership team
Contribute to the smooth running of our business operations, from document management to process improvement
About You Were looking for someone who is:
Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
A clear communicator, confident in working with partners from different sectors
Comfortable with systems, data, and reporting you dont need to be an expert, but you should be tech-savvy
Passionate about environmental sustainability and the role strategic planning plays in protecting nature
Experienced in administration, business support or project coordination especially in a planning, environmental, or public sector context (desirable, not essential)
