SALARY: GBP30,000- GBP35,000 plus 10% Bonus

About you: Assistant Category Manager
We are looking for a Category Manager/Product Manager/Junior Buyer/Merchandiser at the early stages of their career. You may currently be a junior buyer or category management assistant working for a retailer. You should be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have collaborated with marketing teams, understanding how the two functions work together.
The role requires someone with good commercial acumen, who enjoys communicating across business functions and collaborating with various teams across the organization.
Job Specification:
As an Assistant Category Manager, you will assist business units by providing market, product, competitor, and consumer insights across the EMEA markets. This involves gathering and analyzing data, supporting Product Managers in transforming insights into engaging sales tools, and working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product management to drive efficiency and build excellent communication lines.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
* Transforming product value propositions into compelling product pitches supported by technology trends and channel guidance from the Product Manager, enabling sales to secure placements for new products confidently.
* Conducting competitor reviews and research to benchmark products in terms of price, creative execution, and product portfolio breadth.
* Performing market analysis (using GFK, Stackline, NPD, Statista) regularly and assisting in forecasting technology trends.
* Managing the lifecycle process for run-rate SKUs alongside Product Managers, assessing sell-through rates, and optimizing SKUs in partnership with Supply and Demand teams.
* Maintaining Product Management master files such as catalogues and presentations, and updating cross-functional tools like (url removed), Workfront, and Agile.
