Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation. This role involves supporting attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and filed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings.
* Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
* Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and accessible.
* Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
* Manage schedules and deadlines using Microsoft Outlook to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Prepare for trials by organising exhibits, evidence, and witness information.
* Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, for document creation and data management.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards.
Qualifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong IT skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
